Leaders at Lunch: Honoring the Carlisle Family YMCA Capital Campaign Leaders
More than a decade ago, the Board of Directors realized that the YMCA’s aging facility was no longer serving the needs of the community. After a Strategic Planning Committee determined in 2015 that the best choice for the Carlisle Family YMCA was to remain at its current location, an $8.5M capital campaign launched in 2016, tapping Hubert X. Gilroy of Martson Law Offices to serve as the campaign chair. Gilroy, together with vice-chair Ray ‘Buz’ Wolfe, Jr of Wolfe & Company Realtors, assembled a team of volunteers for the campaign leadership cabinet whose three-year fundraising effort ultimately raised over $9M from over 350 individuals, corporations, and private foundations.
